Hi again, future European homeowner!

Last week we found ourselves standing in a beautifully renovated house in the French Riviera.

Four months of working together with one of our clients had led to that moment. What started as a focused search for a holiday home in Nice had gradually expanded to include Antibes, St. Tropez, Villefranche-sur-Mer and even some unexpected locations we'd discovered during our market monitoring. This was our second viewing trip together, and watching someone experience properties in person never gets old. The villa that looked cramped in photos turned out to have incredible ceiling height, natural light and amazing views. The house that photographed beautifully ended being on a narrow path, only accessible by foot. What they hadn't captured was the construction noise from the building site next door, or how the "panoramic terrace" felt more like a wind tunnel than a peaceful retreat.

Real estate photos are basically professional fiction. They can make a shoebox look spacious and hide a highway that runs behind the garden. But they work both ways - sometimes the most understated listing photos belong to the properties that take your breath away when you walk through the door. This is why we’d never hesitate to accompany our clients for viewings.
